About IT Park Uzbekistan

Uzbekistan IT Park, launched in 2019 under a presidential initiative, serves as the country’s primary government-backed hub for IT development and innovation. Located in Tashkent, it functions as an extraterritorial free economic zone for IT companies, supporting integration with academic and research institutions. IT Park fosters entrepreneurship and digital literacy through events, workshops, and training programs aimed at youth engagement. Since its founding, the park has attracted over 1,000 resident organizations, including startups, education centers, and R&D labs. A national goal has been set to reach $5 billion in IT service exports by 2030, reflecting the government’s long-term commitment to growing the tech sector.

One of its flagship initiatives, Startup Base, supports local and international startups through incubation, acceleration, and funding opportunities. With a $148 million investment pool distributed across 119 startups, the program also helps Uzbek startups expand globally and brings foreign companies into the local ecosystem. In 2024 alone, IT Park facilitated startup participation in major international tech events like Web Summit Lisbon and Startupstan Summit. The launch of IT Park Ventures in December 2024 marked a significant step forward, focusing investment on AI/ML, GreenTech, EdTech, FinTech, and Game Development. As of late 2024, over 400 startups had been officially registered, demonstrating IT Park’s growing influence in shaping Uzbekistan’s tech landscape.
